Terry Wachsner is an experienced real estate consultant specializing in operational responsibilities including leasing of multi-family properties and formulation and directing all phases of property management. He has been involved in underwriting of all asset classes and transitioning new acquisitions and repositioning of existing classes.
Prior to his consultant responsibilities Terry was a Principal at the CIM Group, Inc. He was responsible for the oversight of leasing of office, industrial and retail properties. Additionally, he was responsible for construction, which includes tenant improvements, physical due diligence and other capital expenditures.
His previous responsibilities at the CIM Group included leasing of the multi-family properties, condominium sales and property management. He was originally hired to set up the company’s property management division.
Prior to joining CIM Group, Inc., Terry was Director of Asset Services with Continental Development Corporation. His responsibilities included management, due diligence on new acquisitions and joint venture representation for company owned assets.
Prior to Continental Development Corporation, Terry held the position of Executive Managing Director with Kennedy-Wilson Properties, Ltd. Where he was responsible for operations of a 70 million square foot portfolio of office, retail, multi-family and industrial properties.
Before joining Kennedy-Wilson Properties, Ltd., Terry was the President of Heitman Properties Property Management and was responsible for the day-to-day operation. In addition to operations, he participated in the implementation of major building retrofits, the repositioning of office and industrial properties and the development of the property manager’s training program. In 1998, he was instrumental in marketing the Heitman Property management division to potential buyers. The disposition and marketing of the Heitman management organization required the development of corporate financial presentations demonstrating growth strategies with a new organizational platform.
Terry holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master of Arts degree in Architecture and Urban Planning, both from the University of California Los Angeles.
